The 35th annual Boston Science Fiction Film Festival runs this winter from February 5 – 15th, 2010, culminating in a 24-hour marathon! ABOUT THE FESTIVAL In 1976, the legendary Orson Welles Cinema in Cambridge, MA ran a 24-hour film marathon called IT CAME FROM THE ORSON WELLES. Starting at noon on President's Day weekend and ending 1,440 minutes later, guests gathered in a single theater to watch classic, schlock and premiere science fiction films. The 'THON, as it became to be called, has become a sci-fan's treasured event every year since. The fest now includes ten days of new films leading up to the 24-hour film marathon, Boston's "Other Marathon". The 'thon is arguably the world's oldest running festival of its kind. Awards are given by judges and by the audience.

2010 Submission Guidelines The Wisconsin Film Festival welcomes narrative, documentary, experimental, and animated films or videos of any length. Although these guidelines refer a lot about Wisconsin filmmakers, the Festival is open to films from around the world. The largest number of films are submitted in the Open Reel category. The festival plays in ten theaters, all within walking distance, in the heart of the state's capital city.
