YOU KILL ME TRAILER

The trailer for You Kill Me has gone online today, and I’m really relishing the prospect of seeing this one. John Dahl is pretty much the only director today making modern noirs consistently worth watching: Red Rock West and The Last Seduction wonderfully combined the darkness of classic 1940s noir with a 1990s edge, and even a less ambitious film like Joy Ride was really enjoyable because of Dahl’s classy direction. But it seems he is now venturing into (dark) comedic territory – and very successfully by the looks it. In fact, You Kill Me looks rather like Grosse Pointe Blank if it had been rewritten by Jim Thompson.
