IS THIS VIDEOGAME TRAILER BETTER THAN MOST MOVIE TRAILERS?

AICN thinks this trailer for the zombie game Dead Island might be better than most movie trailers, and I tend to agree.

    I’d say most video game trailers are better than movie trailers. This one especially. Video games trailers are generally not some fast bullshit trying to communicate the entire synopsis in like 30seconds to a minute. They tend to establish a character and show them doing something valiant, or heroic, and then maybe you’re shown a snippit of the world you’d be playing in. There’s pretty much never some guy paid 5million dollars a year with a stupid voice saying “One guy…. Must risk it all… for this… buckle up your seatbelts… because this June, you’re shits about to… hit the door…”

    Currently, video games are way beyond film. 

    But to go against myself, just like there are stupid movies, there are stupid video games.
